This privacy policy applies to the web site, www.sixthstageblog.com (the “Site”), and all associated web sites operated by Lauren E. Silver, LLC.

Website Visitors. Like most web site operators, the Site collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The Site’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how the Site’s visitors use its web site. From time to time, the Site may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its web site.

The Site also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on the Site. The Site only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information. Certain visitors to the Site choose to interact with the Site in ways that require the Site  to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that the Site gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. Those who engage in transactions with the Site are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, the Site collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with the Site. The Site does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. For instance, the Site may monitor the most popular posts on the Site or use spam screened by the Akismet service to help identify spam. the Site may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, the Site does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

If you send the Site a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. The Site takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Cookies. A cookie is a string of information that a web site stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the web site each time the visitor returns. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by the Site and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

Comments. Comments and other content submitted to our Akismet anti-spam service are not saved on our servers unless they were marked as false positives, in which case we store them long enough to use them to improve the service to avoid future false positives.

Privacy Policy Changes. The Site may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in the Site’s sole discretion. The Site encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
